Picture The STP
Perhaps you’re asking yourself, “How come nobody thought of this before?”

Well they have, notably eccentric slide master Lowell George. But to put a Tele pickup in a Strat requires some serious gouging out of the body underneath the pickguard.

But then...

While playing in the machine shop, Scott Petersen, the idea man around here, discovered that a standard sized Tele pickup can be (carefully) machined to just fit into a Strat without any modifications. Also it turns out that the string spacing over the Tele magnets is actually better. So our ‘54 Special Tele pickup became the STP.

It sounds...um nasty, full and of course-twangy. It does make them Strats jump up and squawk! STP's now come with a black, white, parchment or mint green cover included.

New! Mini-Strat Neck Pickup

“Send the demo back!? Yeah right. Hahahahahaha! No way you’re getting this puppy out of my guitar.”

It’s the soul brother of the STP pickup, in a Tele version. It's exactly what many Tele players have always wanted, a Strat pickup that fits in the neck position of a Tele, without any modification to the guitar. Unlike full-size Strat pickups, the pole pieces fit the Tele string spacing, and you don't have to rout the body or pickguard.

The Mini-Strat pickup comes with black or white plastic cover and exposed Alnico pole pieces.
The sound is as close as you can get to our '54 Special Strat pickups, so it sounds even better than most Stratocasters. The 'middle' position is also way cool, about half-way between a Strat and Tele and the 'Strat' output level mixes well with most vintage type bridge pickups.

Picture New! 4-Way Tele Switch

The same special 4-position switches used on some new-fangled Teles, but at a better price. These allow both pickups in series, for a fat, humbucker-style tone from a regular Tele. Retains the 3 original sounds, so you don't lose a thing, except $13 including freight.

4-Way Tele Switch is $13 with any pickup order or $20 otherwise

High Pressure Wax Potting

This is the same process we use on all our pickups (at no extra charge, of course).

We'll do yours, too. It’s icky work but we’ve got the machine going already, so what the hell. If your pickups are squealing like a pig, send 'em in and we'll dunk 'em for you. It’s the only sure cure.

High-pressure wax potting is $10 per pickup.
